I have an exciting and challenging opportunity available for my client who are on the outskirts of Bishop’s Stortford.
We are looking for an organised and efficient Temporary Administrator who is used to working in a fast paced environment. Exposure to HR or recruitment would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will need to be available immediately as this is a temporary role for approximately four months.
You will also need to have access to your own transport, due to the nature of the location.
The working hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
As an Administrator within the HR department your duties will include;
- Providing a high quality, confidential and comprehensive resourcing administration service, ensuring that all resourcing activities are carried out to the specified levels including quality and volume of work.
- To act as a point of contact for the department, both by telephone and for visitors, maintaining high standards of courtesy, discretion, customer care and confidentiality at all times.
- Facilitate the efficient implementation of an agreed resourcing plan and campaigns in conjunction with the HR Manager (Resourcing).
- To support Appointing Officers with the process of recruitment, liaising directly with Appointing Officers to acknowledge all new vacancies in a timely fashion and ensure a full understanding of the role.
- To undertake recruitment to vacancies within establishment as authorised, undertaking administration throughout, (i.e. from making authorised changes to job descriptions right through to issue of offer and rejection letters).
- Provide information and guidance to managers on the recruitment and selection procedure and respond to day to day queries.
- Arrange for short-listing by the panel and book interview and selection arrangements, booking rooms and communicating with panel and candidates.
- Conduct pre-employment checks (and renewals during employment as applicable), including eligibility to work in the UK, references, qualifications, professional registration and DBS as required, applying internal procedures and safeguarding best practice.
- Maintain trackers up to date and accurate as required, including recruitment, pre-employment checks, probation reviews and renewal dates for relevant checks/registration, e.g. DBS/ professional registration.
- Maintain effective human resources records, including staff personal files and computerised records.
