We have a new and exciting opportunity for someone with a strong desire to enter a career in Research.
Working within a professional organisation you will be assisting in the delivery of the research strategy working closely with the Head of Research and Return on Investment.
You will need to have a good undergraduate degree in one of the following: social science, social research, statistics, maths, science, business or economics with an emphasis on qualitative / quantitative statistical research methods. You need to demonstrate having undertaken research, evaluation and reporting of results. You need to demonstrate organisational skills and working to deadlines. Experience of using market research methodologies is desirable.
Essential Knowledge & Experience
- Provide assistance with the preparation of project-related reports, documents and presentations.
- Demonstrate experience in managing a social, marketing, business, education or scientific research project.
- Ability to investigate research, manage, interpret and present Labour Market Intelligence (LMI).
- Able to perform descriptive and multivariate statistical data analyses.
- Prepare tables, graphs, fact sheets, and written reports summarizing research.
- Provide assistance in the design of survey instruments e.g. questionnaires.
- Demonstrate clear decision making skills under pressure and consideration of complex information.
- Capable of rapid mastering of new subjects and the development of ideas.
- First class research and intelligence gathering skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across team and division boundaries and in co-operation and partnership with other organisations.
- Strong logic and analytical skills – ability to understand complex narratives and interpret numerical data and qualitative and quantitative statistical data.
- Good prioritising and self- management skills to work effectively alone as well as part of a team.
This is a contract position until March 2019 when it will be reviewd for extension.
