We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious finance professional to head the finance and administrative functions for our high growth international client who provide SasS solutions.
The role will be a combination of both hands-on and strategice covering the full spectrum of responsibility and leading a small and capable finance team to deliver best practice solutions and timely management information enabling strategic decison making for both the UK and Overseas operations.
The role will encompass ongoing review of the sales and purchase ledgers, management of cash in all it's forms, supplier manangement and Forex exposure. Salary and HR information will also fall under this remit.
Within the new structure there are now 4 UK businesses and similar number of Overseas entities and it will be of paramount importance to manage the trade between each and ensure the integirty of the cash positions.
We are looking for a good all-rounder who is happy to take on more than just financial tasks. You will ideally have experience of developing and introducing accounting processes, in particular purchase to pay. You will join the management team at an exciting stage in the company's journey with opportunity for growth and enhancement in the role.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Constant stewardship and ownership of the accounting ledgers.
- Bank & Cash Reconciliation in real time
- Prepare departmental monthly and annual accounts.
- Support of overseas operations in preparation of their accounts
- Management of intercompany activity
- Prepare group year end schedules and liaison with auditors
- Daily cash management and cash flow forecast
- Group VAT returns and reconciliation including EC Sales returns
- Forex management to minimise exposure
- Company Secretarial duties
- Accounting administration, consisting of ensuring all customer and supplier processing, and related activities are processed and managed
- Management of the team overseeing the Debtors and Creditors processes
- Payroll preparation activities including collation, deductions, reconciliations (outsourced payroll)
- Associate billing review process
- Expenses and Company Credit card collation and reconciliations.
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable proven experience in similar type environment
- Recognised Accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Knowledge of finance software systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
