We currently have an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic organisation in Hatfield as a Procurement Administrator.
Within this role you will assist a busy procurement team in supporting the purchasing demands of the sales and service departments. You will ensure a high level of stock availability and be instrumental in making forecast decisions and completing all administrative tasks.
You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm and be eligible for the following benefits:

Responsibilities of the Procurement Administrator:
- Place stock orders for spare parts from both direct product factories and third parties
- Ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner, are shipped correctly and delivered to the customer within the required time frame
- Keeping customer service levels high at all times
- Manage spare parts stock including the creation of materials in SAP, booking in and out of stock and completing stock transfers
- Liaise with regional offices to communicate any updates regarding orders, deliveries or delays to ensure their customers are kept up to date
- Approve and sign purchase orders in accordance with compliance approval limits
- Assist the Procurement Operations Manager in any additional projects where required
- General administrative tasks on behalf of the department
- Ensure all internal and external emails are responded to in a timely and efficient timescale
- All telephone calls answered to a high standard and tasks dealt with appropriately
- Attend all relevant inter-departmental meetings (logistics, sales and operations) to ensure relationships are upheld and queries resolved
- Point of contact for external suppliers – dealing with new orders and queries as well as building relationships
- Remain compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001 at all times
- Ensure all processes are adhered to and kept up to date
Previous Experience and Competencies of the Procurement Administrator:
- Customer service experience is highly essential
- Experience of working within a similar role desirable
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- Experience of using SAP preferable
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to use own initiative
- Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
- IT literate and competent user of all Microsoft packages
