This is an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join a dynamic, progressive and growing organisation who have doubled their business within the past two years and continue to grow. The client have smart, modern state of the art offices and offer an excellent range of employee benefits.
Our client are currently seeking a Buyer who brings energy and enthusiasm along with three years’ experience working within a purchasing environment. The successful candidate will be highly numerate proficient user of IT and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. They will be tasked with building relationships with key vendors and proactively forecasting and ordering stock.
Duties
- Responsible for all stock replenishment
- Forecasting
- Support and interrogate all customer forecasts
- Negotiate, maintain and improve all terms and pricing with suppliers
- Take ownership of vendor issues and look for process and efficiency improvements
- Raise, get approved and send purchase orders to suppliers, whilst adhering to all relevant procedures
- Resolve queries or discrepancies on supplier invoices
- Ensure all price protections and claims are communicated and processed
- Plan and report end of month forecast stock holding on a weekly basis
- Complete aged stock reporting and attend weekly meetings
- Maintain supplier relationships, organise and attend regular meetings and QBR’s
- Delegation of tasks to the Assistant Buyers

- Monthly Stock and Aged targets
- Delivery Date Accuracy
- Fill Rate Accuracy & Availability
- Preparing/Raising Debit note and chasing for approval/references

Person Specification (skills, knowledge and experience required)
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years buying experience
- 3 years’ experience of working within distribution or vendor responsible for Channel preferred
- Experienced in Oracle or SAP would be advantageous
