We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Transport/Stock Coordinator for an exciting new opportunity within an international, industry leading distributor, based in Cheshunt. The role comes with a portfolio of excellent benefits and will suit someone who enjoys a lively and vibrant culture.
The position will be interesting and varied and the successful candidate will have at least two years' experience within a Transport/Stock environment. This role will suit someone who is efficient and capable of organising and co-ordinating transport for deliveries, supporting internal and external customers’ and providing administration support to the business. It is vital that applicants have a proven track record for being able to achieve results whilst under pressure and always seek solutions to problems.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm or 9.00am – 5.30pm
Responsibilities include:
- Adding, controlling, reconciling stock and preparing reports
- Organising transport for deliveries
- Liaising with outside stores regarding stock levels, perpetual inventory and reconciliations
- Arranging collection and transfer of goods, checking in deliveries and raising sales invoices
- Passing purchase and transport invoices for payment
- Liaising with external parties – suppliers, customers, hauliers and overseas offices
- Liaising with internal departments – trading and accounts
- Maintaining contract/virtual file with the appropriate information and copy documentation
- Resolving queries in a timely fashion
- Providing goods traceability reports for Technical Department
- Adhering to the full requirement of the role with respect to Food Safety Legality and Quality, In line with company Food Safety & Quality Policy
Relevant Skills:
- Confident with oral and written communication skills
- Communicates effectively
- Effectively manages time in order to meet deadlines/orders
- Ability to negotiate and influence
- Previous experience within a transport or stock environment
- Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and good level of capability with other MS Office suite programmes
- Highly organised individual
- Hard-working
- Willing to learn
