Description

We are currently looking for a Procurement Administrator to join a well-established client of ours on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be available for 3-months minimum.

Working 37.5 hours per week between Monday and Friday. Salary dependent on experience.

Main Responsibility of the Procurement Administrator

To assist the Procurement department in providing the procurement facility for the business and to produce accurate and up to date information on stock levels and usage.

Main Duties of the Procurement Administrator  

  • Ensure the correct stock levels of company product and work consumables are available across the business network
  • Monitor the levels of stock being held on a weekly basis
  • Make arrangements for the return of unwanted stock to suppliers
  • Liaise with existing suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and delivery schedules are met
  • Where necessary, identify new suppliers and agree favourable terms and conditions of business
  • Ensure companywide compliance with procedures by auditing the process used
  • Make recommendations and any necessary changes on behalf of the department
  • Produce weekly reports on stock levels held in all locations
  • Make arrangements for stock movements and rotation
  • Reduce the ordering of unwanted materials where necessary
  • Review invoice queries with regard to pricing errors and liaise with Accounts department to resolve efficiently
  • Produce and maintain forecasting sheet
   

Requirements

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An outgoing and enquiring mind
  • A desire to undertake personal development
  • A full UK valid driving licence
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Available from April 2018
