Temporary Event Sales Executive
Stansted
£12.50 - £13.00 per hour
Full time (35 hours per week)
I have a temporary assignment that has become available for an Event Sales Executive for my client who are based in Stansted. You must be available immediately and for the next 6-8 weeks.
Due to the location of this role, you must have access to your own transport (free parking is available on-site)
My client are looking for a driven and experienced Sales Executive (preferably with events experience) to assist them with their upcoming conferences that are due to take place this spring / summer.

The working hours are 35 hours per week and there could be some international travel required to attend the conference in May.
You will act as the main contact for the Exhibitors, Sponsors and Contractors pre-event, onsite and post-event, so a high level of customer service and problem-solving skills is essential.
You will support the team to identify and maximise new business as well as maintain the growth of the existing business. You will need to be commercially-minded, proactive and intuitive.
Key Responsibilities for the Sales Executive;
- Be the first point of contact for sponsors, exhibitors and external contractors, pre-event, onsite and post-event.
- Work with the Financial Controller to invoice customers and retrieve payments.
- Work with the Financial Controller to keep the accounts and registration system up to date.
- Ensure the website and programmes are up to date with exhibitor and sponsor information.
- Ensure smooth process of materials shipment to and from the event venue.
- Manage temporary staff pre-event and on site.
- Support the Education Manager with the Student Opportunities Programme by handling the pre-event commercial sales.
- Identify and engage new and existing prospects with commercial opportunities.
- Ensure the website and programmes are up to date with exhibitor and sponsor information.
