Mosaic Accountancy Recruitment have a great opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a fantastic client who are an established leader in their industry.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate and timely management reports. Main responsibilities and accountabilities of the role;
- Preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts and variance analysis
- Production of balance sheet and cash flow forecasts
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Prepare and posting month end journals
- Prepayments and accruals
- Depreciation
- Assist with budget/ forecast preparation
- Updating budget holders on monthly spend
- Identify process improvements and implement solutions which support the delivery of more timely and accurate information
- Liaising with auditors and accountants when required and at Financial Year End
- Purchase company vehicles and manage the selling process
- Check and authorise the quarterly VAT return
- Providing information and support to the Financial Controller and Financial Director
- Support other areas of the finance function
- Adhoc tasks, reporting and analysis
Skills and Experience
- Qualified CIMA or ACCA (finalist or part qualified will be considered)
- Previous experience in financial management reports
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Good organisational skills and can-do attitude
- Skills in MS Office packages
- Sage experience
