A fantastic client of ours based in Harlow are looking for a Logistics Administrator to join their outgoing team and become an integral part of the smooth running of the warehouse.
Previous experience of working in a similar position is advantageous as well as involvement in an administration and/or customer focussed role. They are offering a competitive salary of £18k - £20k.
You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 10:00am – 8:00pm. These hours are negotiable and can be discussed.
Due to location you must be able to drive/have access to a car.

Duties
- Prepare all documentation on behalf of the warehouse
- Checking driver paperwork daily
- Prepare all invoices prior to despatch
- Printing all end of day paperwork for drivers to carry out daily routes the following day
- End of day courier manifest
- Arranging weekly van runs and cover for holiday and sickness
- First point of contact to all sites current couriers
- Arranging ad-hoc trailers and collections when needed
- Recording drivers working hours and collating data for payroll and management
- Ensure smooth and timely invoicing with a keen attention to detail
- Managing vehicle defects/repairs in accordance with legal requirements
- Maintaining, updating and recording internal tracking systems / records with accurate and correct driver details
- Reporting any operational issues i.e. driver incidents, requests, no-shows etc. to operations management
- Daily liaison with customers, colleagues and sub-contractors to facilitate the smooth running of the Logistics Operation
- Keep good relationships via email or telephone with all customers
- General Office administration to ensure optimum efficiency of the Logistics & Warehouse Operation
Skills and Attributes
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and quick to pick up new systems
- Accurate data entry skills
- Excellent administrative/organisational skills with the ability to self-manage, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- The ability to build strong relationships with work colleagues, customers and suppliers
- Excellent people skills: an ability to empathise and resolve issues effectively
- Ability to learn quickly and to be flexible in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines with the minimum of supervision
- Minimum 1 years’ experience within a similar role
