Description

We have a new part time opportunity available for a Bid Support Executive for our successful and established client who are based in Hertford.

Working with the sales and commercial teams, there is now the need for a person to assume responsibility for the tender completion and management process.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in managing the bids/tender process and have advanced knowledge of Excel.

The role is 20 hours per week and the company are willing to be flexible on the specific days.

Principle objectives

Tender Completion

  • Management of tenders’ processes including scheduling activities & completion of documentation
  • Reviewing, summarising tender opportunities
  • Working with sales team to complete tenders using templated text and reference documents
  • Augmenting tender submissions, ensuring content best represents company’s processes, products and services
  • Working with commercial team to support quoting/tendering
  • Tender results analysis (via Excel)
  • Report production and analysis
  • Content management and maintaining library of resources

Sales Administration

  • Prospect communications – despatch of letters, mailers, email etc
  • Supporting Marketing Executive with sales and marketing administration and event preparation
  • Some general administration
  • Data entry on Management Information System
  • Developing understanding of systems in use, using daily to progress own work

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate has successfully worked within a sales/commercial manufacturing environment, in support of a tendering process.  As a minimum, must have had specific experience completing tenders, be used to working under pressure and without direct supervision. The candidate should meet most or all the following requirements:

Experience

  • Tender completion experience – hard copy documentation preparation and on line submissions
  • Regular (daily) use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or B2B environment
  • Demonstrable flexibility in previous roles
  • Evidence of planning and delivering against daily activity and regular reporting targets
  • Worked within a MIS package
  • Solid work history, particularly in SME’s
