- Description
We are looking for an Arrest Officer for our well-established client based in Epping, Essex. Are you looking for a career in a completely different industry? As an Arrest Officer, you will be responsible for effective and efficient execution of arrest warrants. Arrest Officers are required to visit addresses to obtain payment for unpaid debts, locate debtors or to execute warrants.
You will be required to make visits in the early mornings, evenings and weekends. Due to the nature of work and the requirement to locate customers outside of normal working hours, you will need to be able to work between the hours of 6:00am – 9:00pm.
You will be field based within either Thames Valley, Bedfordshire or Hertfordshire. However, on occasion you may be required to travel further.
The basic salary is £16,000 per annum plus an attractive commission structure.
You will be expected to earn up to £24,000 per annum with experienced Arrest Officers earning between £25,000 - £45,000.Commission is calculated on how many successful warrants you execute. There are also bonus schemes in place which are achievable and based on how many targets you hit.

- Where necessary, to convey persons named on the warrants to courts, police stations or HMP
- To issue receipts for all payments received and to inform courts of all payments taken
- To complete all necessary paperwork and update handheld devices on actions taken
- To undertake any training necessary for the role including ‘conflict management and disengagement techniques’
- To ensure post incident procedures are followed
- To comply with all policies surrounding the use of body worn video cameras and laptops
- To carry out any other tasks as required in connection with the service, execution or return of warrants, summonses, orders and notices, including obtaining and reporting information regarding the customer and/or the actions taken in executing a warrant
Person Specification
- Articulate, numerate and able to communicate and interact with others at all levels
- Ability to manage conflict and handle difficult situations
- A full, clean driving licence
- No criminal record or CCJ’s
- High level of self-motivation and able to work between 6am and 9pm
