Description

We currently have an amazing, permenant opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to work as part of a busy team within a large progressive organisation who offer excellent working conditions and benefits.  The role will involve assisting and processing the weekly and monthly Self Employed payments, but to also assist with processing invoices and other payment processes within Accounts Payable.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Process weekly and monthly self employed payments, including updating relevant systems with new starters and leavers
  • Reconciling Fleet spreadsheet to Van deduction spreadsheet
  • Coding all supplier and disbursement invoices and with the correct accounting codes
  • Updating disbursement spreadsheets and obtaining relevant authorisation
  • Marking up payments on internal notes system
  • Logging invoices onto Sage X3 and sending them out for authorisation to department heads
  • Reconciling Supplier Statements
  • Assist with processing of all client payments weekly/daily, including refunds to debtors
  • Assist with processing of Employee expenses and company credit cards
  • Ensuring all queries are dealt with in an accurate and timely manner
  • Viewing internal mailboxes and ensuring queries are dealt with in a timely manner

  • Such duties as directed by a supervisor/manager as may from time to time be reasonably required

  • Ability to develop quickly and understand the company’s systems and procedures
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated

  • Team player
  • Excellent data inputting skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Excel skills (intermediate)
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Good organisational and administrative ability
  • Excellent telephone manner

 

Qualifications: desirable

  • Good level of general education to GCSE's or GNVQ/NVQ qualification or equivalent
