We are currently seeking a Quality Compliance Officer for our client who are a global leader within their field. This exciting opportunity will be working as a key member of the Quality Assurance Team supporting the ISO 17025 accredited laboratory testing service. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance of the overall testing service, by ensuring that quality management system principles are upheld, in accordance with ISO 17025 requirements.
Key Activities:
- Performing internal audits of laboratory methods and testing processes.
- Monitoring Proficiency Testing schemes and assisting with investigations into discrepancies
- Providing guidance on method validation matters and reviewing associated validation documentation.
- Driving best practices with regards to quality critical processes such as quality control, traceability, equipment management and control of non-conformance issues.
- Supporting external audits by UKAS and key customers.
- Maintain compliance to internal audit schedule.
- Drive formalised review of external proficiency testing results within the laboratory.
- Support method validation activities of new methods.
- Improve underlying quality system processes within the laboratory so that internal and external audits results are improved year on year.
- Work very closely with the laboratory staff and forge good working relationships as will be crucial to the success of the role
Experience required:
- 5 years working within an accredited laboratory environment (ISO 17025 or ISO 15189)
- Strong understanding of the quality principles associated with ISO standards in a laboratory setting
- Prior experience of internal auditing
- Experience within a quality assurance role advantageous
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
The role holder will be largely based at the Loughton site, but may be required to travel to head office from time to time.
