Our client based in Harlow is looking for a Sales Administrator to join their busy Special Orders department. Working as part of a busy team, you will be responsible for contacting existing B2B customers and offering our special orders service. Integral to the role is facilitating customers’ requirements whilst developing relationships, and maximising and closing sales.
The starting salary is £17,000 per annum and you will work Monday to Friday, working between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm. You will receive an attractive amount of holiday and be enrolled on the pension scheme.
Job Focus
- Proactively selling Logo printed products to a wide range of customers
- Dealing with requests for detailed information and resolving problems with customers
- Required to use judgement, initiative and diplomacy when dealing with customers and internal departments
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify and progress incoming enquiries for bespoke and Logo printed products
- Work with purchasing team and new and existing suppliers to source the best solutions at the best prices
- Prepare quotations for incoming customers within agreed and measured timeframes
- Prepare quotations for the Field Sales team within parameters agreed with their clients
- Proactively chase existing enquiries and quotations to convert to orders
- Raise and progress customer orders and supplier purchase orders where applicable ensuring delivery dates are met
- Maintain an excellent working relationship with both new and existing suppliers
- Monitor and measure supplier activity
- Meet sales targets
- Meet activity targets for quotes generated and outbound sales calls
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions
- Maintain and improve best working practice, taking a proactive approach in developing systems and procedures
- Ensure that all artwork or new product design is produced to agreed standards, clearly communicated to the customer, and that approval is received in writing
- Develop and maintain a good knowledge of the company products, and identify potential development areas
- Manage a personal workload, raising issues when required to the department Manager
Key Skills and Experience
- Sales and/or proactive Customer Service experience essential
- Proven experience of maximising sales in a customer services environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation and diplomacy skills
- Creative approach with an interest in practical design
- Understanding of purchasing processes
- Team working
- Problem solving abilities
- Organised approach to the sales and administration cycle
- Attention to detail
- Work to tight deadlines in a busy environment
- Excellent customer service skills are essential
