- Description
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Team Leader for our client who are based in Hertford.
Our client are a successful and well established company who are well regarded in their industry.
The working hours are 8am – 4pm (Mon – Fri) There will also be some weekends required and this will be on a rota basis.
Areas of Responsibilities;
• Leading a team by giving clear instructions, detailing performance standards required and ensuring deadlines are achieved to meet client expectations.
• Motivate your team to ensure that all members contribute by engaging them in the daily activities and tasks in hand.
• Encourage team working to achieve enhanced performance.
• Carry out “on-the-job” training as and when required. Ensure that you are competent on all activities, machinery & IT “owned “by the department in order to instruct others to safely and efficiently carry out activities or operate equipment required.
• Administration – ensure that all training is recorded and once the performance standard is achieved inform the Head of Fulfilment for the information to be recorded. Assist Supervisors with management of Absence, Performance and Conduct issues.
• Measure and manage performance – Provide accurate data in the format required on a daily basis to the Head of Fulfilment on individual performance. Coach and manage individual team members to achieve optimum performance.
• Meet and wherever possible exceed targets and deadlines to demonstrate commitment to “Excellent Customer Experience”
• Comply with and meet the department’s quality standards to ensure efficiency exceeds Client Satisfaction.
• Support the Head of Fulfilment and Supervisors to ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for Quality Management, Health & Safety, Legal Stipulations, Environmental Policies and general Duty of Care.
• Ensure that all team members accurately record their hours onto MIS System.
• Ensure that all equipment/plant is kept in the best possible condition and ensure that the working area to which you are responsible is kept clean and tidy.
• Promote within the business a ‘can do attitude’ ensuring that all team members embrace a team ethos and desire to achieve targets.
