We have a new and exciting role that has become available for our client who are based in Hertford.
This new role has been created due to company expansion and we are looking for a dynamic and innovative ICT Director who will lead the company with the ICT strategy.

Key objectives for the ICT Director
- Develop and implement an agreed ICT strategy to support the business in its key markets.
- Lead the ICT team to ensure excellent service to all internal and external customers.
- Plan, organise and manage operations and employees to ensure the stable operation and resilience of the company's ICT infrastructure.
- Ensure delivery of the design, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance and effective use of the secure networks, servers, telephony and desktop infrastructures.
- Continually seek opportunities to demonstrate the company’s vision, core values and purpose.
- Maintain the infrastructure and application development in line with the various quality and regulatory standards in force, to include any of the following ISO 27001 (currently in process), ISO 9001:2015.
Key areas of responsibility;
The role requires the effective IT management and development of the following:- Management Information System – choice, maintenance and development.
- Data management, processing and reporting – internal and external (web/hardware).
- Office ICT Infrastructure and applications.
- Production ICT Infrastructure and applications.
- Production software development and maintenance (bespoke systems).
- Production prepress/typesetting operations.
- Strategic development company services.
- Training of company staff and Clients.
- Disaster recovery and backup solutions.
- Business continuity planning and operations.
Person Specification:
Professional Requirements:
The ideal ICT Director has successfully led an ICT Team to high internal and external client satisfaction and meets most or all of the following requirements:
Experience:
- Strong background in ICT management / development at senior/strategic level.
- Extensive knowledge of new and emerging technologies relevant to the company.
- Ability to analyse business needs and conceive, design and develop innovative solutions.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in a relevant field of study.
- Proven experience working with internal senior team members and clients.
- Strong leadership experience managing a team; hands-on management & coaching
- Demonstrable track record of developing ICT strategy/services.
- Shows true passion about successfully delivering ICT services to internal/external clients.
- Real commercial orientation and strong strategic awareness.
