We are looking to recruit an experienced Regional Transport Manager for our client who are based in Harlow.

The successful candidate will have a proven background within the transport / logistics field and hold the CPC qualification for Transport Managers.

You must be extremley organised, efficient and be adaptable / flexible.

Job purpose; to ensure all transport movements are undertaken within the region and nationally, both efficiently and in line with company policy and customer requirements.

Key duties;

• Respond to enquiries within one hour
• Effective communication between Internal/External Sales, Operations, Customers and Haulage companies (in-house and rehired)
• Liaise with other Regional Controllers and Assistants to ensure co-ordinated transport movements
• Delivery and collections of equipment from customers sites and organise transfers between depots
• Cost Control – Implement efficiencies
• Effective Customer Service Skills
• Carry out courtesy calls
• Recovery of regional transport
• Maintain a strong awareness of costs at all times
• Ensure records are accurately maintained
• Customer query resolution
• Process purchase orders and inter-depot transfers
• Provide reports when required
• Non Conformance reporting
• KPI Reporting
• Haulier Audits
• Driver Audits
• Timely planning of transport movements
• Manage Roll out of customer Compliance
• Analyse trends in transport movements
